Tiny Tummies - Parent Support Group

This free feeding discussion group is for breastfeeding or formula feeding parents and their babies. This peer-to-peer group is led by a lactation consultant, Danielle Donovan, RN, BSN, IBCLC, and meets the first Friday of each month at 11 a.m. Topics may include, but are not limited to, navigating the early weeks of breastfeeding or formula feeding, nighttime feedings, common challenges that can arise during your feeding journey, coping with myths, combining breastfeeding, pumping and returning to work.

The nurturing environment offers an opportunity for new parents to support and encourage each other. We ask that you are respectful of all participants and the facilitator and are tolerant of parenting styles that may differ from your own. Please note that this group is for peer support and is not the right setting for a full consultation. Information provided in the group setting does not replace an existing feeding plan or care instructions from your healthcare provider.

Registration is not required.

Each group will include a discussion topic and time for questions and mutual support.

Pre-Surgery Total Joint Replacement Classes - Milford Regional

For patients getting either a total hip or knee replacement at UMass Memorial Health - Milford Regional Medical Center, classes are offered twice a month on Thursdays. In this hour-long class we will help you prepare for your upcoming joint replacement surgery, anticipate what to expect during your hospital stay and what you can do ahead of time to help prepare for your return home.

Classes are held in-person only. We encourage patients to attend one of these classes with a family member or friend about a month before your surgery.

Registration is required for this program.
