Information Regarding Providers
UMass Memorial Health (the “Hospital Facility”) does not employ its own physicians to perform medical services. Each physician or other third-party provider, if any, bills for their own medical services and follows their own financial assistance and billing and collection procedures. Accordingly, the following services provided by the physicians or other third-party providers, are not covered by the UMass Memorial Health Financial Assistance and Credit and Collection Policy.

Only emergency or other medically necessary care provided within the Hospital Facility by the Hospital Facility itself is covered by the Hospital Facility’s Financial Assistance and Credit and Collection Policy – i.e., the Financial Assistance and Credit and Collection Policy apply only to (i) emergency or other medically necessary care provided by employees (e.g., nurses) of the UMass Memorial Health and (ii) other costs incurred directly by the Hospital Facility with respect to the provision of such care.
