You may be wondering, “What is a hospitalist?” A hospitalist team is a group of health care providers, including Medical Doctors (MDs or DOs) and Advanced Practice Providers, such as Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs), who specializes in internal medicine or family medicine-who focuses exclusively on your care while you’re in the hospital. They manage your treatment and answer any questions you or your loved ones have.
